Other Musical Activities

Keri Rusthoi is a member of the National Association for Teachers of Singing. She teaches voice privately in her own studio, as faculty with the Opera Artist Institute and serves as music faculty at the Colorado Mountain College-Alpine Campus. She has also taught regularly in the past at the Perry-Mansfield School for the Performing Arts and Arts for the Soul organizations. Ms. Rusthoi is the Founder and Artistic Director of Emerald City Opera, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year.

Ms. Rusthoi won rave reviews as a guest artist on the award-winning "New Age" recording The Lost World by Michael Sterns, released in 1991, and is a registered BMI recording artist. She is currently creating the world premiere of an orchestral arrangement Jean Berger's song cycle Villanescas, which she will perform at the 2012 Steamboat All Arts Festival and professionally record and release at a later date.

Currently, Ms. Rusthoi serves as Music Director/Conductor of the Steamboat Chamber Singers, as a Director of Music at the United Methodist Church in Steamboat Springs, co-conducting the Chancel Choir and conducting and directing the children's choir, The Grace Notes, as well as conducting an Afterschool Youth Choir. In past years she has served her community as the director of the Columbine Youth Chorale, as a violist in The Avalon String Quartet and as a violist in the Steamboat Springs Chamber Orchestra. She has also served as the Arts Representative on the Steamboat Springs Education Fund Board.
